Spring Open House is Friday, June 4, 2010 from 6 to 9 pm. Everyone is invited to spring…into summer at the 5th annual Spring Open House in Downtown Petoskey. This year’s Open House promises to be the best one yet, with new and exciting events happening throughout our downtown district, drawing even more attendees than ever before. As always, everyone is invited to come Downtown, where the streets will be closed, a variety of entertainment will be available, retailers will be open to share summer wares and host visitors in their stores, and sidewalk dining options will be available at many of our Downtown restaurants.
6:00 pm – Farmers Market Preview on Howard and Mitchell 6:00 pm – Jania the Magic Lady with magic shows and balloon twisting 6:00 pm - SEE North Birds of Brey demonstrations 6:00 pm – Previews of Festival on the Bay, Art in the Park, Petoskey Historic Festival, the Petoskey Mossbacks Vintage Baseball Team, and more in Pennsylvania Park. 6:00 pm - Northern Michigan Youth Theater Barbershop Quartet will be performing music from The Music Man on lower Mitchell. 6:00 pm - Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Murdick's, at the Carnegie Building. 6:00 pm - The Emmet County Fair presents a preview of its Monster Truck event on lower Howard Street. 6:30 pm - Blissfest Preview with an Old Time Community Dance on Mitchell Street in front of Pennsylvania Park 7:00 pm - Summer Fashion Preview Spring Fashion Show featuring 25 downtown stores on the corner of 8:00 pm – Concerts in the Park Preview with Jelly Roll Blues Band in the gazebo in Pennsylvania Park. 9:00 pm – Spring Open House Raffle Drawing in front of Petoskey Downtown Offices, 216 Park Avenue 9:00 pm - Ghost Walk. $5 per person.
